Today, SSL certificates are crucial for providing secure connections for websites and improving search engine rankings. Google, in particular, prioritizes sites that use SSL in its rankings. You can use either paid or free SSL certificates on your website. If your website is hosted under one of our hosting packages and the domain’s NS records are directed to the hosting package, the SSL setup is performed automatically. If NS records were directed later or under different circumstances, you can manually perform the installation. Follow the steps below to manually install a free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate through cPanel.
- Access the website www.fastpanda.co.uk
- Click on the “Sign In” button on the opened page, enter your customer panel information, and click the “Log in” button to log in to your account.
- Click on the “Web Hosting” option in the left menu.
- On the opened page, you will see your existing web hosting packages. Click the “Manage Product” button for the service you want to access cPanel.
- You will see a “Login to cPanel” button. Clicking on this button will automatically redirect you to cPanel.
- On the cPanel home page, under the “Security” section, click on the “SSL/TLS Status” option.
- Click the “Run AutoSSL” button. This process will allow Let’s Encrypt to generate and install the certificate on your site.
- Once the installation is complete, open your site with “https://” to verify that the SSL certificate is working. Additionally, you can check using SSL verification tools like https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html.
