After purchasing a VPS, you may want to change the operating system. This process can be easily performed through the customer panel. However, during the operating system change, all data on the server will be permanently deleted. Before changing the operating system, make sure to back up all your data and then proceed with the process. If you have backed up your data, you can follow the steps below to change the VPS operating system.
- Access the website www.fastpanda.co.uk.
- Click on the “Sign In” button on the opened page, enter your customer panel information, and click the “Log in” button to log in to your account.
- Click on the “VPS Server” option in the left menu.
- On the page that opens, you will see your current VPS packages. Click the “Manage Product” button for the service where you want to change the OS.
- Click the “OS & Panel” button on the right side of the page.
- Under the “Change OS” section, select the operating system that suits your preference.
- Alternatively, you can proceed without selecting an OS by choosing an application from the dropdown list under the “Or Select An Application” section.
- After selecting your OS or Application, click the “Change OS” button.
- Once you have backed up your data, check the box “I recognize that all my files will be deleted and cannot be restored” and click the “Next” button. Within a short period, your server will be set up with the new operating system.
- You can view the access information for your server under the “Overview > Access Info” section.
- If you want to reinstall your VPS with the currently used operating system, you can use the “Reinstall” button to perform the operation. Since all data on the server will be permanently deleted during the reinstallation process, ensure that you back up your data before proceeding.
